This Dog Above sure enjoyed chasing the Ducks around.

Some chicks have hatched, very exciting!

Some little heron chicks have hatched and the parents are busy feeding them.  They also fine time to sit on the nest, take naps, and groom themselves.

Heronry Update, fences are up at the heronry now, chicks coming soon.

Heronry Update.  The fences has gone up around the heronry. It appears some of the birds have either laid their eggs or are extremely close to doing so.  Lots of foliage in the trees now, it seemed to grow overnight.  There should be some little heron chicks soon.

Beautiful Ducks

 

Ducks flying around at the park on the river, 3/15/2013.

Windy day at the park with heavy rain at times.

Most of the herons today were not at the heronry as the wind was gusting to 40 mph.  There was also very heavy rain at times.  Here is a picture of one of the herons today on the river.
